Corpus Interlangue (CIL)

The Corpus InterLangue (CIL) project is a Rennes 2 University project conducted by the LIDILE research team.

CIL is a learner corpus, a collection of spoken and written productions from learners of English and French as second languages (L2).
The corpus provides various sources of learner input completing different tasks. Learner data have been a source for
evidence-based research in Second Language Acquisition for over two decades. This type of data gives
insights into learners’ language features which can be analysed in the light of the interlanguage (IL) hypothesis.

The CIL data have been collected since 2008 as part of a research programme conducted by the LIDILE research team. The data sources have
been stored digitally in non-public spaces. The LIDILE team now wishes to make this data set available to the community.
